NEWSDecember 15, 2011 SPIK SZMA is 24th in the Russian business rating “Business leader - 2011” according to All-Russian Industry Classification 74.20.13 “Project design, associated with the construction of engineering facilities, including hydraulic structures, traffic project design”. The rating covered over 646 thousand enterprises irrespective of their form of ownership with statistical reports in the territory of Russia. If to compare with 2010, SPIK SZMA improved its economic performance and obtained higher position in rating 2011.

December 9, 2011 Upon OOO New Technology’s request, JSC SPIK SZMA performed automated control system project reliability estimate on the site “Stolbovoe oil field facilities constructions for full production” under the largest project in the territory of the Tomsk region with recovery reserved of 12,2 mln ton of oil. Automated control system provides fuel & oil supply to power units and waste heat recovery of diesel power plants.

December 2, 2011 Mikhail Skvortsov, SPIK SZMA’s Leading Programming Engineer has successfully defended his PhD thesis on “Reliability Optimization Method for Structurally-Complex Technical Systems at the Design Stage” at St.Petersburg Institute for Informatics and Automation of RAS (SPIIRAS). Thesis advisor – SPIK SZMA’s research consultant, D.Sc., Professor, Alexander Musaev.

November 22, 2011 Six month field trials of the new variable frequency control station REDAStar SCD for ESP systems and horizontal pumping systems were completed successfully. Testing was carried out by Yuganskneftegaz, JSC.
REDAStar SCD model is a result of joint development efforts of Toshiba International Corporation (USA) and SPIK SZMA (Russia). Serial production of REDAStar SCDs was launched at SPIK SZMA's Assembly Facility.
November 16, 2011 Putting into operation of the control system for reduced fuel oil on-spot railway tank car loading station (Reduced fuel oil loading station #2) for Tanker cargo facilities in Ust-Luga commercial port was completed.
In compliance with the contract between SPIK SZMA and Rosneftbunker, SPIK SZMA has designed, manufactured and supplied the hardware and software for the control system of the Reduced fuel oil station #2, based on Siemens' Simatic S7 system. Furthermore, SPIK SZMA has supplied instrumentation and control devices and provided installation, commissioning and start-up works.
November 9, 2011 SPIK SZMA has amended its Delta-SI 4.0 software to comply with the latest “Amendments to ‘Requirements for the legal entity’s metrological firmware compliance with the automated inspection results accounting system of the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology (AIS Metrcontrol)’” adopted on June 15th, 2011. Therefore, a new version Delta-SI 4.1 was released which complies with all the requirements. Metrological services operating Delta-SI 4.0 may download a free package to upgrade from 4.0 (SP4) to 4.1 by e-mailing to: email@example.com.
November 8, 2011 SPIK SZMA has been appointed an official distributor of TOSHIBA CIS LLC within Russia and CIS.
October 24, 2011 Proceeding from results of the tender held by SIEMENS's Oil & Gas Department, SPIK SZMA was selected as a supplier of the distributed control system and emergency shutdown system for the light oils ON-SPOT tank cars loading station for JSC Novokuybyshevskiy Oil Refinery. The scope of supply includes basic engineering and design, system production based on SIMATIC PCS 7 software and hardware, factory testing at SPIK SZMA's Assembly facility, as well as installation supervision, commissioning and start-up.
October 10th, 2011 State Fire Academy of Emercom of Russia (Moscow) purchased software complex ARBITER (software complex for automated structural logic simulating and computing of system reliability and safety measures) to be used in educational activity at Fire Safety Department. According to the agreement, Mozhaev A.S., SPIK SZMA senior specialist, professor, will train teaching staff how to work with the complex ARBITER.

June 20, 2011 June 20, 2011 JSC SPIK SZMA will present “state-of-the-art” REDAStar VSD – the result of cooperation between Schlumberger, Toshiba International Corporation and JSC SPIK SZMA – at the International Oil & Gas Exhibition (21 - 24 June 2011 at the Expocentre in Moscow, Russia).
REDAStar has been developed for control and protection of electrical submersible pump (ESP) applications and has been designed for use outdoors in the Russian environment (extremely low temperatures). VSD fully meets modern technical requirements of major oil and gas companies, provides high reliability, economical operation, easy installation and maintenance. The serial production has been organized at SPIK SZMA Assembling Facility in Saint-Petersburg. Four types with nominal output capacity of 164, 263, 414 and 526 KVA will be supplied.
April 12, 2011 SPIK SZMA won tenders for the delivery of Siemens Simatic process control system 7 (PCS7) for Mozyr Oil Refinery Plant in Belarus and the delivery of Toshiba G7-based drive engineering package n produced by SPIK SZMA assembling facility for oil and gas group PetroKazakhstan.
